Checks API or Automated Checks API as we will be calling it in a future blog post will be a standardized approach to allow organizations to implement automated check generation and printing using only basic accounting software. We have seen many banks, financial institutions, brokerage firms and other organizations adopt this API for their e-checks or checks printed on magnetic paper from suppliers. In simple words an organization can generate check through its printer API and print the checks within minutes to get a confirmation. There are many API's available for electronic money transactions and one can select the right one depending upon the type of transaction involved and the bank which is issuing the check. Checks API for printing and mailing checks online is a service which can be offered by any organization which is issuing checks and requires automation for generating checks and collecting data about its customers. The main interface of the check printing API consists of a web server and a browser. The process of API for printing and mailing checks works by capturing all relevant information about the customer, which is sent back to the server using Internet data. For every check that has been issued by the bank, the relevant information is captured, processed and stored in a database.
Now when the user requests for a check and inputs the relevant data about the customer, it gets captured in the database and a number of check patterns are generated. These patterns are used by the API for printing and mailing checks. There is a special URL, which is used by the bank to retrieve the check data from the server and display the information requested by the user. This check data contains the details regarding the customer, such as name, address, phone number, account number, balance, and so on. The user can select any check pattern that matches his requirements and thus prints a check for him.
